Hope House uses the revenue based on requirements of the grants
and needs of the clients. Below is a general list of expenses
Hope House incurs on a yearly basis.
- Operating covers the administrative salaries and benefits,
office telephone systems, utilities and rent. It also covers
dues and subscriptions, insurance expenses, fundraising expenses,
travel, office supplies and postage.
- Advocacy covers our advocates
salary and benefits, training and seminars, travel, crisis
and language telephone lines.
- Awareness and Outreach provides education and awareness about domestic and sexual violence as well as printing, publications, awareness activities and advertising as well as training seminars provided by Hope House.
- Direct client benefits cover food, furnishings and maintenance to ensure our shelter and transitional housing units are adequate and comfortable, utilities and rent for clients transitioning from the shelter into their own homes, fuel, public transportation, and counseling.
